Deixa Chover - "Let It Rain"
Deixa Chover - "Let It Rain"
We are the Pacific Northwest school of Capoeira com Expressão. We practice a contemporânea style of capoeira that is grounded in the African roots of the art and focused on personal growth and expression within the strength and support of an engaged community.
Our purpose is sharing the art and community of capoeira. Professor Aguaceiro provides primary instruction and leadership for our school under the supervision of Mestre Carcará. We are a community organization made possible by the collective efforts of our members. We believe that access to learning capoeira should be extended to anyone with a desire to learn. All of our classes are offered for a suggested conscious contribution of $5-$15+.

Platform360 will be our New Location for all classes starting in October
We are very excited to have a new location that will allow us to hold all of our classes in the same studio. We are so grateful to Denfinity Dance Studio for hosting us to this point and we are a little sad to be leaving the beautiful axé of that space. Our new friends at Platform360 have welcomed us and graciously made accommodations in their schedule for all of our classes with minimal changes to our schedule. The P360 studio is a bit larger than we are used to and will better hold our growing classes. We really appreciate the partnerships with these businesses and could not exist without them!

Capoeira in Eugene, Oregon
Capoeira in Eugene, Oregon
Capoeira is thriving in Eugene. There are three other schools with active classes accepting new students. Having multiple schools enriches the community by offering capoeira from other traditions with different instructional styles and philosophies. We support the other schools in their activities and events and collaborate to showcase capoeira or host community rodas.
We encourage capoeira-curious folks to check out each school to find the best fit for their capoeira journey.
